Headgear Combinations
If there was a thread like this, please don't smite me.
Take a look at the picture. What do you see? That'd be my warrior wearing an Obsidian Helmet with Tinted Glasses. I think this combination is cool, but to get this combination, I had to hack Guild Wars! Save me the trouble.
I'm kidding. Simple editing skills. Losers.
What I'm suggesting is that some of the newer 'Stand-Alone' armor pieces be used in conjunction with other items. Sort of like a temporary dye. To equip them, you drag the item into the head slot. Another option would be to double-click and click on a following item (not all items will be in coherence, only a select few) and it will appear in a preview like dye. I'm not sure if we should make it a permanent option or not (and if it is, to provide an item to remove it such as Gray Dye sets your armor back to default status) but when used, it will act like dye and simply coat the piece in whichever way the armor was produced.
You may think, "glasses while fighting? That doesn't make sense." Well, neither does the ability to summon zombies from the ground or rain meteors from the sky. I think it's perfectly acceptable.

Comments, suggestions?
SIDE-COMMENTS/SUGGESTIONS:
1) Find a way to make other item pieces include hair. I like how the blindfold works, how your hair is still perfectly visible, and the glasses. Bandanas, make your hair get shaved, basically. Even have a hair set prefix, I don't know. If you were bald from the beginning, you'll stay bald, but if you had some hair, give us some hair!
2) Speaking of the blindfold....make it dyable.
DOUBLE ARMOR??:
No. There seems to be confusion, but I never stated to combine the armor bonuses or runes. In my opinion, if you're going to use it on an armor piece, that the runes are destroyed upon use. Which is to make sure you use a salvage kit to take them off pre-usage.

Too much work to be done in GW. Wait for GW2, I think.
I like the idea of headpieces that go together. Hopefully in GW2, we'll have some kind of double armor system, like a combat armor set and decorative armor that can be used with it for more effect.

Only for one condition.
One of them have to be your ''Main headgear'' Whille the other one is just for decoration.

Well that is certainly understandable - I don't think the OP thought he could get double armor from it or anything.
Anyway, I definitely sign this. I mean, some headgear really shouldn't be classified as such; a "mask", like what rangers or assassins wear, should not preclude actual head protection or a hood.
OTOH, you'd have to start excluding and checking for certain combinations - some helmets cover your entire face and only have eye slits - they shouldn't be able to wear glasses over them. A head-scarf/bandanna also wouldn't work w/ most helmets. It's probably best left for GW2...

Yes, I had stated that only certain armor pieces will be interchangable between each other and that was one of the reasonings behind me saying that. Obviously, a warrior Primeval helmet doesn't do much with glasses.

Though I have to say I don't hold out much hope that they'd ever do it. The negating of one piece as armour should be a given, but I didn't think you intended for double armour and attributes anyway. Also, let all work with all, if someone makes a seriously ugly combo that's their problem.
Sorry to bring up WoW (flamesuitactivated) but in that, when you wear a helm that doesn't completely cover your face you have a small edging of hair attached to it that adopts your character's hair colour. If WoW with it's pretty dated engine can manage that I'm not sure why Anet can't code it in. At least that way female toons wouldn't look completely bald when wearing a bandana.
C'mon Anet, you gave us more choices but really, who wants their ele to look like a bald fishwife?
